Scale
- 4 boneless turkey chops, about 1 1/2 pounds total
- 1 large yellow onion, thinly sliced
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 2 tablespoons all purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons butter, divided
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add olive oil and 1 tablespoon butter.
- Season turkey chops on both sides with salt and black pepper.
- Add turkey chops to the skillet in a single layer. Cook for 4 to 5 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- Add remaining butter to the same skillet. Add sliced onions and cook until soft and lightly caramelized.
- Stir in minced garlic and cook for 1 minute.
- Sprinkle flour over the onions and stir well to coat.
- Gradually whisk in chicken broth, stirring continuously until the gravy thickens.
- Return turkey chops to the skillet and simmer for 5 to 7 minutes, spooning gravy over the top.
- Sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
- Do not overcrowd the skillet to ensure proper browning.
- Simmer gently to avoid overcooking the turkey.
- If gravy becomes too thick, add a splash of broth to loosen it.
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
