Ingredients
Scale
- 2 pounds (900 g) chicken wings, separated at joints and patted dry
- 3 tablespoons white miso paste
- 3 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 3 fresh garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, finely grated
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 green onions, thinly sliced
- 1/2 teaspoon salt, or to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 200 degrees Celsius and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together white miso paste, honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, olive oil, salt, and black pepper until smooth.
- Add chicken wings and toss thoroughly to coat.
- Marinate for at least 1 hour, or refrigerate overnight for deeper flavor.
- Arrange wings in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each piece.
- Bake for 35 to 40 minutes, turning halfway through, until wings are cooked through and caramelized at the edges.
- For extra crispiness, broil for 2 to 3 minutes while watching carefully.
- Remove from oven and let rest for 5 minutes.
- Sprinkle with sliced green onions and serve warm.
Notes
- Pat wings dry before marinating for better caramelization.
- Do not overcrowd the baking sheet.
- Marinating overnight enhances flavor.
- Watch carefully during broiling to prevent burning.
