Description

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
  • 3/4 cup maraschino cherries, drained, patted dry, and chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, cream softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then blend in vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  6. Fold in semisweet chocolate chips and chopped maraschino cherries gently.
  7. Scoop tablespoon sized portions of dough onto prepared baking sheets, spacing evenly.
  8. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes until edges are lightly golden and centers are just set.
  9. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
