Description

A rich and flavorful garlic butter ghee salmon bake made with tender flaky salmon fillets coated in a glossy garlic infused ghee and butter mixture, finished with fresh lemon and parsley for a bright and balanced finish.


Ingredients

  • 4 fresh salmon fillets, about 170 grams each
  • 2 tablespoons ghee, melted
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 fresh garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 whole lemon, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt, or to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius and lightly grease a baking dish with olive oil.
  2. In a small bowl, mix melted ghee, melted butter, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper until fully combined.
  3. Place the salmon fillets skin side down in the prepared baking dish.
  4. Spoon the garlic butter mixture evenly over each fillet and arrange lemon slices on top.
  5. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, depending on thickness, until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.
  6. Remove from the oven and sprinkle freshly chopped parsley over the salmon. Spoon pan juices over the top.
  7. Serve immediately while warm and tender.

Notes

  • Bring salmon to room temperature for 10 to 15 minutes before baking for even cooking.
  • Do not overbake, as salmon continues to cook slightly after removal from the oven.
  • For extra brightness, squeeze fresh lemon juice over the salmon before serving.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days.
