Description
A rich and flavorful garlic butter ghee salmon bake made with tender flaky salmon fillets coated in a glossy garlic infused ghee and butter mixture, finished with fresh lemon and parsley for a bright and balanced finish.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 fresh salmon fillets, about 170 grams each
- 2 tablespoons ghee, melted
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 4 fresh garlic cloves, minced
- 1 whole lemon, sliced
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt, or to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius and lightly grease a baking dish with olive oil.
- In a small bowl, mix melted ghee, melted butter, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper until fully combined.
- Place the salmon fillets skin side down in the prepared baking dish.
- Spoon the garlic butter mixture evenly over each fillet and arrange lemon slices on top.
- Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, depending on thickness, until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.
- Remove from the oven and sprinkle freshly chopped parsley over the salmon. Spoon pan juices over the top.
- Serve immediately while warm and tender.
Notes
- Bring salmon to room temperature for 10 to 15 minutes before baking for even cooking.
- Do not overbake, as salmon continues to cook slightly after removal from the oven.
- For extra brightness, squeeze fresh lemon juice over the salmon before serving.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days.
