- 1 cup long-grain white rice (uncooked)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cups beef broth
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
- Add ground beef, onion powder, and Cajun seasoning. Cook until the beef is browned and cooked through. Season with salt and pepper.
- Add uncooked rice to the skillet and stir to combine with the beef mixture.
- Pour in the beef broth, bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer for 18–20 minutes, or until rice is tender and liquid is absorbed.
- Stir in shredded cheddar and grated Parmesan cheese until melted and creamy.
- Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper as needed. Serve hot, straight from the skillet.
Notes
- For extra flavor, garnish with chopped fresh parsley or chives.
- You can substitute white rice with brown rice, but cooking time may need adjustment.
- Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheated gently on the stovetop.
