- 4 boneless skinless chicken thighs
- 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour, divided
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt, divided
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon paprika

- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Heat oil in a heavy skillet over medium heat for frying.
- In a bowl, combine 1 cup all purpose flour, baking powder, granulated sugar, and 1/2 teaspoon salt. Cut in cold butter until crumbly, then add enough buttermilk from the measured amount to form a soft dough.
- Turn dough onto a floured surface, gently pat to about 1 inch thick, and cut into biscuits. Place on prepared baking sheet.
- Bake biscuits for 12 to 15 minutes until golden brown and fluffy.
- In another bowl, marinate chicken thighs in remaining buttermilk with remaining salt, black pepper, paprika, and garlic powder for at least 30 minutes.
- Dredge marinated chicken in remaining 1/2 cup flour, pressing to coat evenly.
- Fry chicken for 6 to 8 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through to an internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Remove chicken and place on a wire rack to rest briefly.
- Mix melted butter with honey to create the honey butter glaze and brush generously over hot chicken.
- Slice biscuits in half, place glazed chicken inside, and serve immediately.
