Description

This Dorito Taco Salad is a fun, flavorful twist on classic taco salad! Loaded with seasoned ground beef, fresh lettuce, juicy tomatoes, cheese, and crunchy Doritos, this dish is perfect for an easy dinner recipe or a quick lunch idea. For the Taco Meat:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 packet (1 oz) taco seasoning
  • 1/2 cup water

For the Salad:

 
  • 6 cups romaine or iceberg lettuce, chopped
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup black beans (optional)
  • 1/2 cup corn (optional)
  • 1/4 cup sliced black olives (optional)
  • 1/2 cup Catalina or ranch dressing
  • 2 cups Nacho Cheese Doritos, crushed

Instructions

1️⃣ Cook the Taco Meat:

  • In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned.
  • Drain excess fat, then stir in taco seasoning and water.
  • Simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.

2️⃣ Prepare the Salad:

  • In a large bowl, combine chopped lettuce, cherry tomatoes, shredded cheese, black beans, corn, and olives.

3️⃣ Add the Crunch:

  • Just before serving, toss in crushed Doritos and warm taco meat.

4️⃣ Dress & Serve:

 

  • Drizzle with Catalina or ranch dressing and toss gently to combine.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy!
