Crockpot Mississippi Chicken Sliders are a flavorful twist on the classic Mississippi-style roast, made with tender shredded chicken, zesty ranch, savory au jus, and tangy pepperoncini peppers. Piled onto soft Hawaiian rolls with melted cheese and buttery tops, these sliders are perfect for parties, game day, or family dinners.

- 4 Large Chicken Breasts, boneless, skinless
- ½ cup Chicken Broth
- 1 packet Au Jus Gravy Mix
- 1 packet Ranch Dressing Mix
- 6–8 Pepperoncini Peppers
- ½ cup Juice from Pepperoncinis
- ½ cup Butter, sliced
- 2 packages Hawaiian Rolls
- 12 Provolone Cheese Slices (or 6 cups shredded Mozzarella)
- 2 cups Mayonnaise (optional)
- 4 Tablespoons Butter, melted
- 1 Tablespoon Dried Parsley
Instructions
- Place chicken breasts in the bottom of the crockpot.
- Add chicken broth, au jus gravy mix, ranch dressing mix, pepperoncini peppers, pepperoncini juice, and sliced butter.
- Cover and cook on low for 6–7 hours or on high for 3–4 hours, until chicken is tender and shreds easily.
- Shred the chicken in the crockpot and mix it well with the juices.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Slice Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally without separating the individual rolls.
- Spread mayonnaise (if using) on the bottom half of the rolls, then layer with shredded chicken and cheese slices.
- Place the top half of the rolls over the filling.
- Brush the tops with melted butter and sprinkle with dried parsley.
- Bake uncovered for 10–15 minutes until the cheese is melted and the tops are golden brown.
- Slice into individual sliders and serve warm.
Notes
- For extra spice, add more pepperoncinis or a splash of hot sauce.
- These sliders can be prepped ahead and baked just before serving.
- Try swapping provolone for mozzarella or pepper jack for a spicy kick.
- Great for potlucks, parties, or a fun family dinner.
