Description

Crispy roasted russet potatoes loaded with seasoned ground beef, melted white cheddar, and finished with a tangy burger sauce drizzle, delivering all the flavors of a classic cheeseburger in comforting potato form.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 4 large russet potatoes, about 1.2 kilograms, cut into cubes
  • 500 grams ground beef
  • 2 cups white cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 medium yellow onion, finely chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper, freshly ground
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/3 cup burger sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 220 degrees Celsius.
  2. Toss the cubed russet potatoes with olive oil, salt, black pepper, and paprika until evenly coated.
  3. Spread the potatoes in a single layer on a large baking tray.
  4. Roast for 30 to 35 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crisp.
  5. While the potatoes roast, cook the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat with chopped onion and minced garlic until browned and fully cooked. Drain excess fat if needed.
  6. Remove the tray from the oven and spoon the cooked beef mixture evenly over the roasted potatoes.
  7. Sprinkle shredded white cheddar cheese evenly over the top.
  8. Return to the oven for 5 to 7 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  9. Remove from the oven and drizzle burger sauce over the top.
  10. Serve hot and enjoy.

Notes

  • Cut the potatoes evenly to ensure consistent roasting.
  • Do not overcrowd the tray to maintain crisp edges.
  • Drain excess fat from the beef to prevent soggy potatoes.
  • For extra crispiness, broil for 2 minutes after melting the cheese.
