Description

Soft and buttery cookies filled with a creamy cheesecake center and topped with rich caramel sauce. These indulgent treats combine classic cookie comfort with a luscious surprise inside.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add egg and vanilla extract and mix until smooth.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually mix dry ingredients into wet ingredients until just combined.
  4. In another bowl, beat softened cream cheese until smooth.
  5. Scoop 1 tablespoon of cookie dough and flatten slightly. Place about 1 teaspoon of cream cheese in the center, cover with another small piece of dough, and seal edges gently.
  6. Place filled dough balls on prepared baking sheet. Drizzle or swirl a small amount of caramel sauce on top of each cookie.
  7. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes until edges are lightly golden and centers are still soft.
  8. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • Chill the dough for 30 minutes if your kitchen is warm to prevent spreading.
  • Use thick caramel sauce to avoid excessive spreading during baking.
  • Do not overbake to maintain a soft and creamy center.
