- 6 slices brioche bread
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons butter
- Powdered sugar for dusting
- 1/2 cup fresh berries (optional)
Instructions
- Whisk eggs, milk, sugar, and vanilla extract in a bowl until smooth.
- Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat and melt butter.
- Dip each brioche slice into the custard mixture, coating both sides.
- Place slices in the pan and cook for 2 to 3 minutes per side until golden brown.
- Remove from pan and dust with powdered sugar.
- Top with fresh berries if desired and serve warm.
Notes
- Use slightly stale brioche for best texture
- Cook on medium heat to avoid burning
- Do not oversoak the bread
