Description

A rich and comforting BBQ chicken lasagna layered with tender chicken, creamy cheese, and smoky barbecue sauce, baked to golden perfection.


Ingredients

  • 12 lasagna noodles
  • 3 cups cooked shredded chicken
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped red onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. Mix shredded chicken with barbecue sauce until well coated.
  3. Lightly grease a baking dish with olive oil.
  4. Layer noodles, ricotta, chicken mixture, onion, and mozzarella. Repeat layers and finish with cheese.
  5. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  6. Remove foil and bake another 15 minutes until golden.
  7. Let rest for 10 minutes, garnish with parsley, and serve.

Notes

  • Use rotisserie chicken for convenience
  • Let the lasagna rest before slicing
  • Do not over-sauce to avoid soggy texture
