- 4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/3 cup chicken broth (or vegetable broth)
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
- Juice of half a lemon
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Season the Salmon:
- Season salmon fillets with Cajun seasoning, paprika, and a pinch of salt and pepper.
- Cook the Salmon:
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the salmon for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- Make the Cajun Butter Sauce:
- In the same skillet, reduce the heat to low and add butter. Once melted, stir in minced garlic and sautรฉ for 30 seconds.
- Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer. Let it reduce slightly for 2 minutes.
- Stir in the heavy cream and simmer for another 1-2 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Add Lemon and Parsley:
- Squeeze in the lemon juice and sprinkle with fresh parsley.
- Finish the Dish:
- Return the salmon to the skillet, spooning the Cajun butter sauce over the fillets. Cook for 1-2 minutes to heat through.
- Serve:
- Serve warm with the sauce drizzled over the salmon. Enjoy!
Notes
- For extra flavor, serve with a side of rice or sautรฉed vegetables to soak up the delicious sauce.
- You can also add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the sauce if you like more heat.
