Description

Golden crescent roll pinwheels filled with fluffy scrambled eggs, savory ham, sweet bell peppers, onions, and melted cheddar cheese. These Western Scramble Crescent Pinwheels are warm, cheesy, and perfect for breakfast, brunch, or meal prep.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 tube refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup diced ham
  • 1 small green bell pepper, diced
  • 1 small yellow onion, diced
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and black pepper until fully combined.
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the diced ham, green bell pepper, and onion until slightly softened.
  4. Pour the egg mixture into the skillet and scramble gently until just set. Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly.
  5. Unroll the crescent dough into a rectangle and press the seams together to seal.
  6. Spread the cooled egg mixture evenly over the dough and sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese.
  7. Roll the dough tightly into a log and slice into even rounds.
  8. Place the pinwheels on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until golden brown.
  9. Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • Do not overcook the eggs before baking to keep them tender.
  • Let the filling cool slightly before spreading to prevent the dough from becoming too soft.
  • Roll the dough tightly for neat spirals.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
