Description

A rich and indulgent grilled cheese sandwich filled with a creamy, slightly spicy volcano-style mixture and toasted until golden and crisp.


Ingredients

  • White sandwich bread, 4 slices
  • Imitation crab sticks, 1 cup finely chopped
  • Cream cheese, 4 ounces softened
  • Mayonnaise, 2 tablespoons
  • Sriracha sauce, 1 to 2 tablespoons
  • Green onions, 2 tablespoons finely sliced
  • Unsalted butter, 2 tablespoons softened

Instructions

  1. Heat a nonstick skillet over medium heat.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, mayonnaise, sriracha sauce, imitation crab, and green onions until smooth and evenly mixed.
  3. Butter one side of each slice of bread.
  4. Place one slice of bread butter-side down on the skillet, spread a generous layer of the filling on top, then cover with another slice butter-side up.
  5. Cook for 3 to 4 minutes per side until the bread is golden and the filling is warmed through.
  6. Remove from the skillet and let rest for one minute.
  7. Slice and serve warm.

Notes

  • Reduce sriracha for a milder version.
  • Do not overfill the sandwich to make flipping easier.
  • Let the sandwich rest briefly before slicing to keep the filling creamy but stable.
