Description

  • 1 whole vanilla bean pod, seeds scraped

  • 2 tablespoons coarse sugar sprinkles (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream the softened butter and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the egg and scraped vanilla bean seeds and mix until fully incorporated.
  4. Gradually add the flour and salt, mixing just until combined.
  5. Transfer the dough to a piping bag fitted with a star tip.
  6. Pipe swirl shapes onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them evenly apart.
  7. Sprinkle coarse sugar on top if desired.
  8. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes until the edges are lightly golden.
  9. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
