Description

A hauntingly delicious cocktail that’s perfect for Halloween parties. This blood-red drink combines the smoothness of vodka with the tartness of cranberry juice and a hint of blackberry liqueur, creating a velvety texture that’s irresistible to vampires and mortals alike.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 oz vodka
  • 1 oz blackberry liqueur (such as Chambord)
  • 3 oz cranberry juice
  • 1/2 oz fresh lime juice
  • Ice cubes
  • For garnish: Blackberries and a lime wedge

Instructions

  1. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice cubes.
  2. Pour in the vodka, blackberry liqueur, cranberry juice, and lime juice.
  3. Shake vigorously for about 15 seconds until well chilled.
  4. Strain the mixture into a chilled cocktail glass filled with ice.
  5. Garnish with a few blackberries and a lime wedge on the rim of the glass.

Notes

  • For a sweeter version, add 1/2 oz of simple syrup to the shaker.
  • To make it extra spooky, use a cocktail pick to skewer the blackberries and balance it across the rim of the glass, allowing the berries to dangle into the drink like drops of blood.
  • For a non-alcoholic version, replace the vodka with white grape juice and the blackberry liqueur with blackberry syrup.
  • You can rim the glass with black sanding sugar for an extra dramatic effect.
