Description

A sweet and savory Ultimate Homemade McGriddle made with fluffy golden pancakes, juicy breakfast sausage, melted cheddar cheese, tender egg, and a drizzle of maple syrup. Perfect for breakfast or brunch.


Ingredients

  • Pancake batter for 8 small pancakes
  • 4 breakfast sausage patties
  • 4 cheddar cheese slices
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 to 4 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon butter

Instructions

  1. Heat a nonstick skillet or griddle over medium heat and lightly grease with butter.
  2. Prepare pancake batter and pour small circles onto the skillet. Cook until bubbles form, flip, and cook until golden brown. Set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, cook sausage patties for 4 to 5 minutes per side until fully cooked and browned.
  4. During the final minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty and cover briefly to melt.
  5. Cook eggs in the skillet to your preferred style, such as folded or over easy.
  6. To assemble, place one pancake on the bottom, add the cheesy sausage patty, top with egg, drizzle lightly with maple syrup, and finish with a second pancake.
