Scale
- 2 packages chocolate cake mix
- 4 large eggs, room temperature
- 1 cup water
- 6 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar
- 6 to 8 peanut butter cups, optional
- 6 to 8 Oreo cookies, plus additional for garnish, optional
- Vanilla or peanut butter ice cream, for serving
- Chocolate syrup, for drizzling
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 12-inch oven-safe skillet or baking dish.
- In a large bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix, eggs, water, and vegetable oil until smooth. Spread the batter evenly in the prepared skillet.
- In a separate bowl, mix creamy peanut butter and confectioners’ sugar until smooth. Dollop spoonfuls of the peanut butter mixture over the cake batter and swirl gently with a knife.
- Chop peanut butter cups and Oreo cookies, then scatter them evenly over the top of the batter.
- Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until the edges are set and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out mostly clean.
- Allow the pizzookie to cool slightly before serving.
- Serve warm with scoops of vanilla or peanut butter ice cream and a drizzle of chocolate syrup. Garnish with additional Oreo cookies if desired.
Notes
- Use a large oven-safe skillet for a classic pizzookie shape, or a 9×13-inch baking dish if preferred.
- You can adjust the amount of peanut butter and candy toppings to taste.
- For extra gooeyness, slightly underbake and allow residual heat to finish cooking.
- Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for 1–2 days and reheated in the microwave.
