Description

Tyler Smith’s Buckeye PB Oreo Pizzookie is an indulgent dessert that combines rich chocolate cake, creamy peanut butter, and crunchy Oreo cookies into a giant skillet cookie. Served warm with ice cream and chocolate syrup, it’s the ultimate treat for peanut butter and chocolate lovers.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 2 packages chocolate cake mix
  • 4 large eggs, room temperature
  • 1 cup water
  • 6 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar
  • 6 to 8 peanut butter cups, optional
  • 6 to 8 Oreo cookies, plus additional for garnish, optional
  • Vanilla or peanut butter ice cream, for serving
  • Chocolate syrup, for drizzling

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 12-inch oven-safe skillet or baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix, eggs, water, and vegetable oil until smooth. Spread the batter evenly in the prepared skillet.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix creamy peanut butter and confectioners’ sugar until smooth. Dollop spoonfuls of the peanut butter mixture over the cake batter and swirl gently with a knife.
  4. Chop peanut butter cups and Oreo cookies, then scatter them evenly over the top of the batter.
  5. Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until the edges are set and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out mostly clean.
  6. Allow the pizzookie to cool slightly before serving.
  7. Serve warm with scoops of vanilla or peanut butter ice cream and a drizzle of chocolate syrup. Garnish with additional Oreo cookies if desired.

Notes

  • Use a large oven-safe skillet for a classic pizzookie shape, or a 9×13-inch baking dish if preferred.
  • You can adjust the amount of peanut butter and candy toppings to taste.
  • For extra gooeyness, slightly underbake and allow residual heat to finish cooking.
  • Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for 1–2 days and reheated in the microwave.
