Description
Soft, fluffy doughnut bites made with just yogurt and self-raising flour, rolled in warm cinnamon sugar. Simple, quick, and perfect for a sweet snack or breakfast treat.

- 250ml plain yogurt
- 400g self-raising flour
- 1 egg, mixed
- 50g melted butter
- 50g caster sugar
- 2 tbsp ground cinnamon
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the plain yogurt and self-raising flour. Mix until a soft dough forms.
- Lightly flour your hands and roll the dough into small bite-sized balls.
- Heat oil in a deep pan to medium heat. Carefully fry the dough balls in batches for 3–4 minutes, turning occasionally, until golden and cooked through.
- Remove and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the caster sugar and ground cinnamon.
- Brush each doughnut bite with the melted butter, then roll in the cinnamon sugar coating.
- Serve warm and enjoy.
Notes
- To bake instead: brush lightly with oil and bake at 180°C (350°F) for 12–15 minutes.
- For air fryer: cook at 180°C (350°F) for 8–10 minutes, shaking halfway.
- Add vanilla or a pinch of nutmeg to the dough for extra flavor.
- Best eaten fresh while warm.
