- 1 pound ground turkey
- 1 teaspoon dried sage
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 small onion, finely chopped (about 1 cup)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 cup cranberry sauce
- 2 puff pastry sheets, thawed but cold
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine ground turkey, dried sage, dried thyme, chopped onion, minced garlic, breadcrumbs, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until just combined.
- Lay out the puff pastry sheets on a lightly floured surface, keeping them cold but workable.
- Divide the turkey mixture evenly between the pastry sheets, shaping it into a log along one side of each sheet. Spread a thin line of cranberry sauce over the turkey mixture.
- Roll the pastry tightly over the filling and seal the edge using beaten egg. Slice each roll into equal portions.
- Place slices cut side up on the prepared baking sheet and brush the tops with egg wash.
- Bake for 20 to 25 minutes until golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Allow to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Chill assembled rolls for 10 minutes before baking for cleaner slices.
- Do not overfill the pastry to prevent splitting.
- Reheat in a 350°F (175°C) oven for 10 minutes to restore crispness.
