Description

Traeger Biscuits and Sausage Gravy is a classic Southern breakfast made with flaky, smoky biscuits baked on a Traeger grill and smothered in rich, savory sausage gravy. Perfect for a comforting weekend brunch or special morning treat.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 package of biscuit dough (or homemade biscuits)
  • 1 pound ground breakfast sausage
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2-3 cups milk
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Optional: chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your Traeger grill to 375°F (190°C) with the lid closed.
  2. Place biscuit dough on a grill-safe pan or tray and bake according to package instructions or until golden brown and cooked through.
  3. While biscuits are baking, cook sausage in a skillet over medium heat until browned and fully cooked. Break into small crumbles.
  4. Sprinkle flour over the cooked sausage and stir to coat evenly. Cook for 1–2 minutes to remove raw flour taste.
  5. Gradually whisk in milk until desired gravy consistency is reached. Simmer for 3–5 minutes, stirring frequently, until thickened. Season with salt and pepper.
  6. Split baked biscuits and pour sausage gravy over the top.
  7. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired and serve warm.

Notes

  • For extra smoky flavor, bake biscuits directly on the Traeger grill grate.
  • Adjust milk quantity to make the gravy thinner or thicker as preferred.
  • Can be made ahead: reheat biscuits and gravy gently on the grill or stovetop before serving.
