- 60 ml espresso (double shot)
- 5 grams unsweetened cocoa powder
- 180 ml milk
- 1 tsp raw sugar
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 28 grams mascarpone cheese (room temperature)
- 30 ml heavy whipping cream (cold)
- 2 tsp powdered sugar
Instructions
- Preheat your espresso machine or coffee maker. Bring mascarpone to room temperature and keep the cream chilled.
- Brew a double shot of espresso. Stir in the raw sugar and vanilla extract until dissolved.
- Warm the milk in a saucepan or use a frother until hot and foamy. Avoid boiling.
- Pour the sweetened espresso into a mug, then gently add the steamed milk. Stir to combine.
- In a bowl, whip mascarpone, cold cream, and powdered sugar until soft peaks form.
- Spoon the mascarpone cream on top of the latte. Dust with cocoa powder.
- Serve immediately and enjoy while hot.
Notes
- Use freshly brewed espresso for best flavor.
- Do not overwhip the mascarpone cream to avoid curdling.
- Adjust sweetness to taste by adding more or less sugar.
