- 1 lb ground pork
- 42 wonton wrappers
- 1 small carrot, julienned
- 4-5 green onions, sliced
- 1-inch knob of ginger, minced
- 1 cup Napa cabbage, chopped
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp mirin
- 2 tbsp oyster sauce
- 2 tbsp sesame oil
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2-3 tbsp water per layer
- Chili crunch, to serve
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a skillet, sauté ground pork with garlic and ginger until browned.
- Add chopped Napa cabbage, carrot, and green onions; stir in soy sauce, mirin, oyster sauce, and sesame oil. Cook until vegetables are slightly softened.
- Lightly oil a baking dish or ovenproof skillet.
- Layer wonton wrappers on the bottom, spread a portion of the pork-vegetable mixture over the wrappers, and brush 2–3 tablespoons of water to help layers stick.
- Repeat layers, finishing with a layer of wonton wrappers on top.
- Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes, then remove foil and bake an additional 10–15 minutes until edges are golden and filling is bubbling.
- Rest 5 minutes, then spoon chili crunch over the top and serve warm.
Notes
- Julienne carrots and green onions evenly for consistent layering.
- Brush each wonton layer with water for better cohesion.
- Add extra chili crunch at the table to keep texture crisp.
- Leftovers store in the fridge for up to 3 days and reheat well.
