Description

The Viral Dumpling Lasagna combines layers of ground pork, fresh vegetables, and tender wonton wrappers in a savory-sweet sauce, finished with chili crunch for a spicy kick. Perfect for a family dinner or party, this dish is both comforting and impressive.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 lb ground pork
  • 42 wonton wrappers
  • 1 small carrot, julienned
  • 4-5 green onions, sliced
  • 1-inch knob of ginger, minced
  • 1 cup Napa cabbage, chopped
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp mirin
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2-3 tbsp water per layer
  • Chili crunch, to serve

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet, sauté ground pork with garlic and ginger until browned.
  3. Add chopped Napa cabbage, carrot, and green onions; stir in soy sauce, mirin, oyster sauce, and sesame oil. Cook until vegetables are slightly softened.
  4. Lightly oil a baking dish or ovenproof skillet.
  5. Layer wonton wrappers on the bottom, spread a portion of the pork-vegetable mixture over the wrappers, and brush 2–3 tablespoons of water to help layers stick.
  6. Repeat layers, finishing with a layer of wonton wrappers on top.
  7. Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes, then remove foil and bake an additional 10–15 minutes until edges are golden and filling is bubbling.
  8. Rest 5 minutes, then spoon chili crunch over the top and serve warm.

Notes

  • Julienne carrots and green onions evenly for consistent layering.
  • Brush each wonton layer with water for better cohesion.
  • Add extra chili crunch at the table to keep texture crisp.
  • Leftovers store in the fridge for up to 3 days and reheat well.
