Description

These Grilled Artichokes with Lemon are tender, smoky, and flavorful, featuring artichoke bottoms brushed with olive oil and blackening seasoning, then grilled to perfection and served with a zesty garlic sauce or store-bought toum.


Ingredients

  • 1 pack Trader Joe's Artichoke Bottoms, thawed (or 8 artichoke bottoms)
  • 3 tbsp olive oil, divided
  • 1 tbsp blackening seasoning
  • 1/2 lemon, juiced
  • Flaky salt to taste
  • Fresh cracked pepper to taste
  • White garlic sauce or store-bought toum for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat grill: Heat grill to medium-high heat.
  2. Prepare artichokes: Brush artichoke bottoms with 2 tbsp olive oil and sprinkle with blackening seasoning, flaky salt, and cracked pepper.
  3. Grill: Place artichokes cut-side down on the grill. Cook for 5–7 minutes until grill marks form and artichokes are heated through. Flip and cook 2–3 minutes more if needed.
  4. Add finishing touches: Drizzle with remaining 1 tbsp olive oil and lemon juice. Serve immediately with white garlic sauce or toum.
