- 1 1/2 oz Irish whiskey (e.g., Jameson or Bushmills)
- 4 oz freshly brewed hot coffee
- 3/4 oz Demerara syrup (or substitute with brown sugar syrup)
- Freshly whipped cream, lightly whipped (enough to float on top)
Instructions
- Preheat your serving glass by filling it with hot water. Discard the water once the glass is warm.
- Add the Irish whiskey and Demerara syrup to the glass.
- Pour in the freshly brewed coffee, leaving about 1 inch of space at the top. Stir well to combine.
- Gently pour the whipped cream over the back of a spoon to float it on top of the coffee.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
- For the whipped cream, make sure it’s lightly whipped so it floats effortlessly atop the coffee.
- The Demerara syrup adds depth and richness, but you can substitute it with brown sugar or simple syrup in a pinch.
- Use high-quality, freshly brewed coffee for the best results.
