- 230 g melted butter, cooled
- 1 cup brown sugar (light or dark)
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 eggs
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 100 g chopped chocolate chunks
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch skillet or oven-safe pan.
- In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
- Add vanilla, eggs, and egg yolk. Mix until fully combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually mix into wet ingredients.
- Fold in chocolate chips and chocolate chunks.
- Spread the dough evenly into the prepared skillet.
- Bake for 20–24 minutes until golden on the edges and soft in the center.
- Let cool slightly, then serve warm with ice cream if desired.
Notes
- Don’t overbake—center should remain soft and gooey.
- Add extra chocolate chunks on top before baking for a more indulgent look.
- Chill the dough for 15 minutes before baking for a thicker texture.
- Reheat leftovers in the microwave or oven before serving.
