Description

This homemade pizookie is golden, gooey, and packed with melty chocolate chips and chunks. Baked in a skillet and served warm, it’s the ultimate cozy dessert to share—or keep all to yourself.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 230 g melted butter, cooled
  • 1 cup brown sugar (light or dark)
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 100 g chopped chocolate chunks

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch skillet or oven-safe pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  3. Add vanilla, eggs, and egg yolk. Mix until fully combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually mix into wet ingredients.
  5. Fold in chocolate chips and chocolate chunks.
  6. Spread the dough evenly into the prepared skillet.
  7. Bake for 20–24 minutes until golden on the edges and soft in the center.
  8. Let cool slightly, then serve warm with ice cream if desired.

Notes

  • Don’t overbake—center should remain soft and gooey.
  • Add extra chocolate chunks on top before baking for a more indulgent look.
  • Chill the dough for 15 minutes before baking for a thicker texture.
  • Reheat leftovers in the microwave or oven before serving.
