Description

A soft and rich chocolate babka loaf with beautiful swirls of dark chocolate, perfect for dessert or a sweet breakfast treat.


Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 3/4 cup warm milk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup dark chocolate, melted
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a loaf pan.
  2. Mix flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.
  3. Add milk, butter, and eggs, then knead into dough.
  4. Let dough rise until doubled.
  5. Roll out dough and spread chocolate filling.
  6. Roll into log and slice lengthwise.
  7. Twist and place in pan.
  8. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes.
  9. Cool slightly and slice.
