Quick to prepare and absolutely irresistible, these smashed potatoes will be your new go-to recipe for any occasion.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1.5 lb baby Dutch potatoes
  • 1/4 cup Tony Chachereโ€™s Supreme Crab Boil
  • 1/3 cup butter (melted)
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1 tablespoon Tonyโ€™s Pepper Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon Tonyโ€™s No Salt Seasoning Blend
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley and shredded parmesan cheese for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Potatoes: Scrub the baby Dutch potatoes clean and rinse them under running water. Bring a large pot of water to a boil, adding in the Tony Chachereโ€™s Supreme Crab Boil. Once boiling, add the potatoes and cook for 12-15 minutes or until tender.
  2. Season the Potatoes: Strain the cooked potatoes and toss them in melted butter, honey, Tonyโ€™s Pepper Sauce, paprika, Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes (optional), and Tonyโ€™s No Salt Seasoning Blend.
  3. Smash and Bake: Place the seasoned potatoes on a nonstick baking sheet. Use a fork or the bottom of a glass to gently smash the potatoes. Sprinkle grated parmesan cheese over the smashed potatoes and bake in a preheated oven at 425ยฐF for 20-25 minutes, or until golden and crispy.
  4. Garnish and Serve: Garnish with fresh parsley and shredded parmesan cheese. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

  • If you like it spicier, add more red pepper flakes or extra pepper sauce to the seasoning mixture.
  • For a creamy twist, drizzle some ranch or garlic sauce over the potatoes before serving.
  • You can also use any other small potatoes like baby red or yellow potatoes if you canโ€™t find Dutch potatoes.
  • Be sure to smash the potatoes gently to retain their crispy edges while ensuring they cook evenly.
