- 3 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp to 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C).
- Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs for more tender results.
- Mix all spice rub ingredients in a small bowl. Rub generously over both sides of the ribs.
- Place ribs on a baking sheet lined with foil. Cover tightly with foil and bake for 2.5 to 3 hours, until tender.
- While ribs are baking, prepare BBQ sauce: combine all sauce ingredients in a saucepan over medium heat. Simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Remove ribs from oven and increase oven temperature to 425°F (220°C).
- Brush ribs generously with BBQ sauce and bake uncovered for 10-15 minutes, until the sauce is caramelized and sticky.
- Let ribs rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
- For extra smoky flavor, add a few drops of liquid smoke to the BBQ sauce.
- Ribs can be prepared a day ahead and reheated with sauce for convenience.
- Adjust cayenne pepper according to your preferred spice level.
