  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar

Instructions

  • In a bowl, combine yeast, sugar, and warm milk. Let sit for about 5 minutes until slightly bubbly.
  • Add vanilla, egg, and melted butter. Mix well.
  • Gradually add flour, one cup at a time, until a tacky dough forms.
  • Remove the dough from the bowl and knead into a ball. Place in a greased bowl, cover with a towel, and let rise for 1 hour until doubled in size.
  • Roll out the dough into a large 10ร—20-inch rectangle on a clean surface.
  • Spread strawberry jam evenly over the dough, then sprinkle with cinnamon, brown sugar, and fresh strawberries.
  • Roll up the dough lengthwise, being careful not to squeeze out the filling.
  • Slice into 1 to 1ยฝ-inch rolls and place in a greased baking pan.
  • Cover with a towel and let rise again for 1ยฝ hours, until rolls have doubled in size.
  • Preheat oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC). Bake for 18-20 minutes or until golden brown.
