Instructions

Prepare the Yeast Mixture:

In a bowl, mix warm water, active dry yeast, and a tablespoon of granulated sugar. Let it sit for about 10 minutes until it becomes bubbly and frothy.

In a mixing bowl or stand mixer, combine all-purpose flour and granulated sugar. Add the egg yolks, soft butter, and milk.

Once the yeast mixture is ready, add it to the bowl with the other ingredients.

Knead the dough with a stand mixer using the dough hook for 15-20 minutes on medium speed, until smooth and elastic.

Proof the Dough:

Shape the Donuts:
