- 8 fresh lemons, scrubbed, rinsed, and dried (use 6 for juice, 2 for garnish)
- 1 1/3 cups granulated sugar
- 6 cups water, divided (4 cups hot water, 2 cups cold water)
Instructions
- Cut and juice 6 of the lemons. Strain the juice to remove pulp and seeds.
- In a large pitcher, combine the sugar and 4 cups of hot water. Stir until the sugar completely dissolves.
- Add the freshly squeezed lemon juice and mix well.
- Pour in the remaining 2 cups of cold water and stir again.
- Taste and adjust sweetness or tartness to your preference.
- Slice the remaining 2 lemons and add to the pitcher for garnish.
- Chill and serve over ice for a perfectly refreshing lemonade.
