Description

Homemade Starbucks-style Oat and Fudge Bars featuring a chewy oat base topped with rich, gooey chocolate fudge. Perfect for dessert, snacks, or coffee time treats.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • Oat Base:
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup salted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 3 cups old-fashioned oats
  • Fudge:
  • 1 can (300 mL) sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 cups chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup salted butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together granulated sugar, brown sugar, and softened butter until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine all-purpose flour, whole wheat flour, and baking soda. Gradually add to the butter mixture and mix until combined.
  5. Stir in the oats until evenly distributed.
  6. Press the oat mixture firmly into the prepared baking pan to form an even base.
  7. In a saucepan over low heat, combine sweetened condensed milk, chocolate chips, and butter. Stir until melted and smooth.
  8. Pour the fudge over the oat base and spread evenly.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 25–30 minutes, until the edges are lightly golden and fudge is set.
  10. Allow to cool completely before cutting into bars.

Notes

  • Use high-quality chocolate chips for a richer fudge layer.
  • Press the oat base firmly to ensure bars hold together.
  • These bars can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days or refrigerated for longer shelf life.
