Description

These Spinach Puffs are buttery, cheesy, and packed with savory spinach and crispy bacon, making them an irresistible snack or appetizer for any party. A perfect bite-sized treat thatโ€™s sure to be a crowd-pleaser!

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried dill
  • 2 cups fresh spinach, chopped and packed
  • 3/4 cup crumbled feta
  • 2 teaspoons bacon bits
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400ยฐF (200ยฐC).
  • Spray 9 cups of a muffin pan with cooking spray.
  • Microwave the cream cheese in 10-second intervals until soft and melted, but not steaming. Add the egg, olive oil, and dill to the cream cheese and mix until well combined.
  • In a separate bowl, combine the spinach, feta, and bacon. Pour the cream cheese mixture on top and season with salt and pepper. Mix well with a fork.
  • Cut the pastry sheet into 9 squares. Line the muffin pan with the squares of puff pastry, stretching them slightly to fit. Press them into the bottom of the muffin cups.
  • Evenly divide the spinach mixture among the cups. Fold the 4 points of the pastry square together to cover the filling, pressing the points together to seal.
  • Lightly brush the tops with melted butter.
  • Bake for 20 minutes or until golden and puffy.
  • Allow to cool for 10 minutes. Use a knife around the edges to loosen and pop them out of the muffin pan.
  • Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • You can make these ahead of time and store them in the fridge. Just reheat them in the oven for about 5 minutes before serving.
  • Storage Tip: Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days.
