Description

These Spinach Cheese Puff Triangles are golden, flaky, and packed with a creamy, cheesy spinach filling. Made with puff pastry, garlic, parmesan, and a hint of nutmeg, they are the perfect appetizer for any occasion. Easy to make and irresistibly delicious!


Ingredients

  • 2 sheets puff pastry
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 onion, sliced
  • 2 cups spinach, chopped
  • 1 tbsp parsley, chopped
  • 1 tsp grated lemon zest
  • 3 1/2 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/8 cup parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp butter
  • 1 tsp mushroom powder
  • Pinch of salt and black pepper
  • Pinch of nutmeg
  • For Egg Wash:
    • 1 egg, beaten
    • 1 tbsp milk

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 356ยฐF (180ยฐC) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  • In a medium pan, melt butter over medium heat. Sautรฉ onions and garlic until soft and translucent.
  • Add chopped spinach and cook until excess moisture evaporates. Let cool for 2-3 minutes.
  • In a bowl, mix cream cheese, parmesan cheese, and egg until smooth. Stir in parsley, lemon zest, salt, pepper, and nutmeg.
  • Fold the cheese mixture into the cooled spinach until well combined.
  • Cut each puff pastry sheet into 4 squares. Spoon the spinach mixture into the center of each square.
  • Fold one corner over the filling to form a triangle. Press edges with a fork to seal.
  • Transfer to the baking tray and brush with egg wash. Sprinkle with black sesame seeds if desired.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.
