Description

The Sparkling Blueberry Ginger Mocktail is a vibrant, fizzy, and refreshing non-alcoholic beverage that combines the sweetness of blueberries with the zing of ginger and the sparkle of soda. It’s perfect for hot days, family gatherings, or as a festive drink for special occasions.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
  • 1 tbsp freshly grated ginger (or 1 oz ginger syrup)
  • 1 tbsp fresh lime juice
  • 12 tbsp honey or agave syrup (optional, adjust to taste)
  • 1 cup sparkling water or club soda
  • Ice cubes
  • Lime wedges (for garnish)
  • Fresh blueberries (for garnish)
  • Mint sprigs (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Blueberry Mixture:
    1. In a blender, combine the blueberries, grated ginger, lime juice, and honey/agave syrup. Blend until smooth.
  2. Strain the Mixture:
    1. Strain the blended mixture through a fine mesh sieve to remove the blueberry skins and ginger pulp, if desired.
  3. Mix the Mocktail:
    1. In a glass, add ice cubes and pour the strained blueberry-ginger mixture over the ice.
  4. Add Sparkle:
    1. Top the glass with sparkling water or club soda for a fizzy finish. Stir gently to combine.
  5. Serve and Garnish:
    1. Garnish with fresh blueberries, a lime wedge, and a mint sprig for an extra pop of color and flavor.

Notes

  • For an extra kick, add more grated ginger or ginger syrup to suit your taste.
  • You can also use ginger beer for a stronger ginger flavor.
  • If using fresh blueberries, you can muddle them slightly before blending for a richer flavor.
