Description

Spaghetti Garlic Bread Bowls combine tender spaghetti noodles tossed in rich marinara sauce with the irresistible crunch and buttery garlic flavor of a hollowed French bread loaf. This creative and interactive dish elevates a classic pasta dinner into a share-worthy, hands-on meal perfect for family dinners or casual gatherings.

Ingredients

Bread Bowls

  • French bread loaves (thick and sturdy, enough for individual bowls)

Spaghetti & Sauce

  • Spaghetti noodles (cooked al dente)
  • Marinara sauce (homemade or store-bought, warm)
  • Parmesan cheese, freshly grated

Garlic Butter

  • Butter, softened
  • Garlic, finely minced
  • Salt, a pinch

Optional Garnishes

  • Fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Bread Bowls: Slice the French bread loaves into serving-sized portions and carefully hollow out the center, leaving a thick enough wall to hold the spaghetti without leaking.
  2. Make Garlic Butter: Combine softened butter with minced garlic and a pinch of salt. Generously brush this mixture inside each hollowed bread bowl and on the outer crust to add flavor and crispness.
  3. Cook the Spaghetti: Boil pasta until al dente, drain, then toss with warm marinara sauce and grated Parmesan cheese to coat evenly and add creaminess.
  4. Assemble the Bread Bowls: Fill each garlic butter–coated bread bowl with a hearty portion of the saucy spaghetti. Optionally, sprinkle extra Parmesan and fresh parsley on top for garnish.
  5. Bake to Perfection: Place filled bread bowls on a baking sheet. Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 10-15 minutes until the bread is golden crunchy and the pasta is heated through.

Notes

  • Select sturdy bread: Use crusty French bread that holds its shape when hollowed.
  • Don’t overfill: Keep the filling reasonable to avoid spills and soggy bread.
  • Make garlic butter ahead: Prepare garlic butter in advance to boost flavor and speed up assembly.
  • Use fresh garlic: Fresh minced garlic offers the best flavor compared to powdered versions.
  • Warm your sauce: Serving the sauce warm keeps the bread bowl contents cozy and inviting.
