Description

Praline Crunch is a sweet and salty treat made with Crispix cereal, pecans, and a rich praline coating. This addictive snack is perfect for parties or as a homemade gift.


Ingredients

  • 8 cups Crispix cereal
  • 2 cups pecan halves (salted)
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar (packed)
  • 1/2 cup corn syrup
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 250ยบF.
  2. In a large bowl, combine cereal and pecans.
  3. In a large saucepan over medium-high heat, combine brown sugar, corn syrup, and butter. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract and baking soda.
  4. Pour the mixture over the cereal and pecans, tossing to coat evenly.
  5. Pour the cereal mixture into a 9ร—13-inch pan. Bake for 1 hour, stirring every 20 minutes.
  6. After baking, pour the mixture onto wax or parchment paper to cool. Break into pieces and enjoy!

Notes

  • This treat can be made ahead of time and stored in an airtight container for up to a week.
  • For a different flavor, you can substitute the pecans with other nuts of your choice.
