Description

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup ketchup (for meat mixture)
  • 1/4 cup ketchup (for topping)
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Grease a loaf pan or line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, eggs, milk, onion, green bell pepper, garlic powder, salt, pepper, 1/2 cup ketchup, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix until just combined.
  3. Transfer mixture to prepared pan and shape into a loaf if using a baking sheet.
  4. Spread the remaining 1/4 cup ketchup evenly on top of the loaf.
  5. Bake uncovered for 50–60 minutes, until internal temperature reaches 160°F.
  6. Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Serve warm with your favorite sides.
