- 2 pounds ground beef
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup ketchup (for meat mixture)
- 1/4 cup ketchup (for topping)
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F. Grease a loaf pan or line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, eggs, milk, onion, green bell pepper, garlic powder, salt, pepper, 1/2 cup ketchup, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix until just combined.
- Transfer mixture to prepared pan and shape into a loaf if using a baking sheet.
- Spread the remaining 1/4 cup ketchup evenly on top of the loaf.
- Bake uncovered for 50–60 minutes, until internal temperature reaches 160°F.
- Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Serve warm with your favorite sides.
