Description

Soft and fluffy sourdough sandwich bread with a tender crumb and mild tang, perfect for everyday sandwiches and toast.


Ingredients

  • 3 1/2 cups bread flour
  • 1 cup active sourdough starter
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/4 cup warm water

Instructions

  1. Mix starter, milk, honey, and water.
  2. Add flour, salt, and butter and mix into dough.
  3. Knead until smooth.
  4. Let rise until doubled.
  5. Shape and place in loaf pan.
  6. Let rise again.
  7. Bake at 375°F for 30 to 35 minutes.

  • Cool before slicing.
