Description

A rich and comforting smoked turkey soup with savory andouille sausage, fresh vegetables, and a creamy broth, perfect for cozy dinners.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb shredded smoked turkey
  • 3-4 tablespoons Tony’s No Salt Seasoning
  • 4 sliced andouille sausages
  • 1 chopped celery stalk
  • 3 chopped carrots
  • 1/2 yellow onion, chopped
  • 1 red tomato, chopped
  • 1 whole garlic bulb, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2-3 cups turkey or chicken stock
  • 1 cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add garlic, onion, celery, and carrots. Sauté until softened, about 5–7 minutes.
  2. Add sliced andouille sausage and cook for another 3–4 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Stir in shredded smoked turkey and Tony’s No Salt Seasoning.
  4. Add chopped tomato and stock. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 15–20 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
  5. Stir in heavy cream and cook for an additional 5 minutes until heated through. Adjust seasoning if necessary.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with fresh herbs if desired.

Notes

  • For a thicker soup, puree a portion of the vegetables and stir back into the pot.
  • Leftovers taste even better the next day as flavors continue to develop.
  • Substitute light cream or half-and-half for a lighter version.
