- 1 cup + 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour (divided)
- 1 1/4 cups sugar (divided)
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup milk
- 2 tablespoons canola oil
- 2 Granny Smith apples, peeled and chopped
- 2 cups cranberries (fresh or frozen)
Instructions
- In a bowl, whisk together 1 cup flour, 1 cup sugar, baking powder, and cinnamon.
- Add the egg, milk, and canola oil, stirring until a thick batter forms.
- In a separate bowl, toss the chopped apples and cranberries with the remaining 2 tablespoons flour and 1/4 cup sugar.
- Grease the slow cooker insert lightly.
- Spread the fruit mixture evenly into the bottom of the slow cooker.
- Spoon the batter over the fruit, spreading gently to cover as much as possible.
- Cover and cook on LOW for 3–4 hours, or until the top is set and the fruit is bubbly.
- Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream.

- Frozen cranberries can be used without thawing.
- For added texture, sprinkle coarse sugar on top before cooking.
