Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 medium head green cabbage, cored & sliced into thin strips
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt & pepper, to taste

Instructions

  • Prepare the cabbage by removing the core and slicing it into thin strips. Chop the onion.
  • In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt the butter and add the olive oil. Sauté the chopped onion for about 3 minutes until softened.
  • Add the sliced cabbage to the skillet, stirring and tossing with tongs to coat in the butter and oil. Cook for 10-15 minutes, stirring frequently, until softened to your desired texture.
  • Stir in the smoked paprika and minced garlic, cooking for another 2 minutes. Adjust heat if needed to prevent burning.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add a splash of apple cider vinegar or lemon juice at the end.
  • Serve alongside grilled meats, roasted potatoes, or as a filling for wraps.
  • Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days.
