Description
Juicy, spiced Seekh Kebabs made with ground beef, herbs, and warming spices. These grilled or pan-seared skewers are packed with flavor and perfect for wraps, platters, or dipping.

- 1.5 pounds ground beef (or substitute with ground lamb)
- 1/2 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon garlic, crushed
- 1 tablespoon ginger, peeled and crushed
- 1/2-1 serrano chili pepper, finely chopped
- 1/3 cup cilantro, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons fresh mint, finely chopped
- 1.5 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 1.5 teaspoons Kashmiri red chili powder (or substitute with paprika)
- 1.5 teaspoons red chili flakes
- 1.5 teaspoons cumin powder
- 1.5 teaspoons coriander powder
- 1.5 teaspoons garam masala powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 tablespoon oil + more for brushing during cooking
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix ground beef with all other ingredients until well combined and sticky.
- Oil your hands and shape the mixture into long kebabs, pressing onto skewers or forming logs.
- Chill for 15–20 minutes to help hold shape.
- Grill, pan-sear, or bake at 400°F (200°C), turning occasionally and brushing with oil, for 10–12 minutes until cooked through.
- Let rest a few minutes before serving with dips or flatbreads.
Notes
- Use cold meat and chill shaped kebabs to help them stay intact during cooking.
- Adjust spice level by controlling the chili pepper and flakes.
- Use parchment and a wire rack for oven baking to promote even browning.
- Soak wooden skewers in water before grilling to prevent burning.
