- 1 pound sweet Italian sausage, removed from casing
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 2 cloves garlic, chopped
- 1 tablespoon oregano
- 1/4 cup + 2 tablespoons Parmesan cheese, divided
- 1 large egg, divided
- 1 pound loaf frozen bread dough, defrosted
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 4 teaspoons garlic powder
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cook sausage with garlic, pepper, and oregano until fully cooked. Mix in 1 egg and 2 tablespoons Parmesan.
- Divide bread dough into portions and roll into circles.
- Place sausage mixture in the center of each dough circle, add mozzarella and remaining Parmesan. Fold and seal edges.
- Place rounds on baking sheet, brush with remaining egg, and sprinkle garlic powder on top.
- Bake 20–25 minutes until golden brown.
- Cool slightly and serve warm.

- Use room-temperature dough for even baking.
- Don’t overfill to prevent leaks.
- Brush with egg wash for a golden finish.
