Description

Sausage Baked Brie is a savory and indulgent appetizer made with melty brie cheese, cooked sausage, and flaky puff pastry. Perfect for entertaining, it’s golden, gooey, and packed with flavor in every bite.


Ingredients

  • 1 wheel of brie cheese (8 oz)
  • 1/2 cup cooked ground sausage
  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh thyme (optional)
  • 1 tsp honey or fig jam (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out puff pastry slightly on a floured surface. Place brie in the center of the pastry.
  3. Top brie with cooked sausage and optional thyme or honey.
  4. Fold pastry over the brie, trimming any excess and sealing edges. Flip sealed side down onto the baking sheet.
  5. Brush pastry with beaten egg for a golden finish.
  6. Bake for 20–25 minutes or until pastry is golden brown and puffed.
  7. Let cool for 5–10 minutes before serving. Serve with crackers, apple slices, or baguette.
