Description

Sausage and Egg Breakfast Pizzas are a savory and satisfying morning treat. English muffin halves are topped with scrambled eggs, seasoned sausage, mozzarella cheese, and a sprinkle of red pepper for a fun and filling breakfast.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1/2 pound breakfast sausage
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • Pinch of cayenne pepper
  • 6 English muffins, separated
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 red pepper, seeded and diced

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375ยฐF (190ยฐC). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the breakfast sausage, breaking it up as it cooks until fully browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat and set aside.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, pepper, and cayenne pepper.
  4. In the same skillet, pour in the egg mixture and scramble over medium heat until just set, about 3-4 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.
  5. Place the English muffin halves on the prepared baking sheet. Top each half with a generous spoonful of cooked sausage, followed by scrambled eggs.
  6. Sprinkle each pizza with shredded mozzarella cheese and diced red pepper.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Serve immediately and enjoy these delicious breakfast pizzas!

Notes

  • If you prefer, you can use turkey sausage or another type of breakfast meat.
  • Feel free to add extra toppings like sautรฉed onions, spinach, or other veggies for variation.
  • To make these ahead of time, prepare the pizzas up to step 6, refrigerate, and then bake them when youโ€™re ready to eat.
