- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups beef broth

Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, chopped onion, egg, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.

- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook patties until browned on both sides, about 4-5 minutes per side. Remove patties and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté mushrooms until browned, about 5 minutes. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute more.
- Sprinkle flour over the mushrooms and stir well to coat.
- Gradually add beef broth, stirring constantly until the gravy thickens.
- Return patties to the skillet, spoon gravy over them, and simmer for 10 minutes until cooked through.
- Serve hot with mashed potatoes or rice.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add chopped fresh parsley to the beef mixture.
- Use low-sodium beef broth to control salt levels.
- This dish can be prepared ahead and reheated gently.
