Description

Crispy, caramelized roasted Brussels sprouts tossed with bright lemon, Parmesan, and fresh herbs for an easy and flavorful side dish.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound Brussels sprouts, trimmed
  • Extra-virgin olive oil, for drizzling
  • Sea salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • Lemon Parmesan seasoning (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons lemon zest
  • 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese or 1/4 cup shaved
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves
  • Fresh parsley leaves, for garnish
  • Pinch red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Halve the Brussels sprouts and place them on the baking sheet.
  3. Drizzle with olive oil, then season with sea salt, black pepper, and optional lemon Parmesan seasoning.
  4. Toss to coat evenly, then spread the sprouts cut-side down for best browning.
  5. Roast for 20–25 minutes, or until the edges are crispy and golden brown.
  6. Transfer to a bowl and toss with lemon juice, lemon zest, Parmesan, thyme, and red pepper flakes.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, avoid overcrowding the pan.
  • Shaved Parmesan adds richer texture for serving.
  • Add a drizzle of balsamic glaze for a sweeter finish.
